Miss Strickland and Mr. Dallas exchange vows December 6, 2008

Mrs. James Ransome Dallas Mrs. James Ransome Dallas Kathryn Elizabeth Strickland and James Ransome Dallas were married December 6, 2008, at Main Street Methodist Church at 6 pm in Columbia. The Rev. Joe Cal Watson performed the double- ring ceremony. Music was provided by the bride's brother, Zachary Strickland, who sang The Prayer.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Davy Strickland and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Reiff. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Betty Vaugh and the late Herbert Vaugh of Marietta, Georgia, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Strickland of Cartersville, Georgia. The bride graduated from Pebblebrook High School in Mableton, Georgia, and Columbia College with a BA in dance education and an M.ed in divergent learning. She is a teacher at Crayton Middle School.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde "Rusty" Dallas of Columbia. His grandparents are Mr. Joseph James and the late Pebble James of Aiken, South Carolina, and Mrs. Florence Dallas and the late Russell Dallas of Columbia. The bridegroom graduated from A. C. Flora High School. He is employed by Beverage South.

The bride wore a strapless white satin gown trimmed in red with beads and sequins with a red train that flowed down the back. The matron of honor was Cynthia Comerford. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Kara Corley; Mrs. Sharny Barhydt, sister of the bridegroom; and Mrs. Leah Carlander.

The father of the bridegroom served as best man. The groomsman was Murray Hiller. The ringbearer was Luke Barhydt, nephew of the bridegroom.

A reception was held at Rockbridge Club. After a honeymoon trip to Daytona Beach, Florida, the couple will reside in Columbia.
