Ten debutantes presented at The SC Debutante Ball
Anna Rutherford Barber Nine daughters, one granddaughter, and three nieces were presented at The South Carolina Debutante Ball on Thursday, December 18, 2008, at Forest Lake Club.
Receiving guests at a reception prior to the ball were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Charles Scott, chairman of the board; Mr. and Mrs. David Christian Goodall, president of the ball; Mr. and Mrs. David Malcolm Choate, president- elect and chairman of the ball; the debutante daughters and their fathers and the debutante granddaughter and her grandfather. The presentation of the debutantes was followed by the debutante figure, led by Miss Margaret Rice Goodall.

The debutantes each carried a bouquet of 12 Red Freedom roses with Italian Ruscus and Salal, wrapped with cream double faced satin ribbon.
Georgia DuPree Carlton Debutante granddaughter making her bow was Miss Virginia Ann Lifchez, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marc Hunter and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lester Hunter Jr., escorted by Mr. William Asa Rhody Allbritton.
Brittany Elizabeth DeLoache Nieces presented were Miss Frances Brunson Kneece, niece of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Otis Kneece, escorted by Mr. Stephen Murphy Taylor; Miss Erin Elizabeth Singleton, niece of Mr. and Mrs. David Malcolm Choate, escorted by Mr. James Robert Lewis; and Miss Margaret McKenna Strom, niece of Dr. and Mrs. William John Savoca, escorted by Mr. William Douglas Mann.

Son of members attending the Ball for the first time was Mr. Carter Whaley Scott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Charles Scott.
Following the presentation and debutante figure, the members, debutantes, and guests dined and danced to the music of the Ross Holmes Band. Seated at the head table were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Charles Scott, chairman of the board; Mr. and Mrs. David Christian Goodall, president of the ball; Mr. and Mrs. David Malcolm Choate, president- elect and chairman of the ball; and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wallace Salley, vice- president and co- chairman of the ball. After dinner, coffee was served in the foyer.
