S.C. daughter wins 2008 Pioneer of the Year
      Dyane Dye Wood Kellogg of Little River, SC, proposed her children's great- grandmother Sarah Catherine Robins Wood (1855- 1932) as the 2008 Pioneer Woman of the Year in the contest sponsored by the Oklahoma Historical Society, Oklahoma City, which has under its aegis the Pioneer Woman Museum, Ponca City, Oklahoma.

Volunteer gives over 2000 hours
      Iva Dell Griffin was recognized by RCPL Executive Director David Warren for volunteering more than 2,000 hours of service to the Richland County Public Library. A volunteer since April 1995, Griffin was named the 2000 Adult Volunteer of the Year and was named to the RCPL Volunteer Hall of Fame in April.
