A sight to see
Jay Price advertises his family's radio call numbers It's amazing what you can do with PVC pipe, tomato cages, hula hoops, a few Christmas lights, and a lot of ingenuity. You owe it to yourself to stop by Willow Ridge Drive sometime this Holiday season and see for yourself. Anna Holden Price and Jay Price have worked for months with their father Scott, planning and building a Christmas light extravaganza.
It all started last Christmas when the Prices were out enjoying other people's Christmas lights. The children were fascinated by one set of lights which danced in sync with music. Anna Holden, a highly intelligent fifth grader, begged her dad to build a similar display for this Christmas.
Six- year- old Jay, who is always up for any challenge, enthusiastically threw himself into the mix. Together the children and their dad researched and experimented until they had designed a Price family light display. Aside from purchasing a special computer program from Spain and securing their own FM radio frequency, all the supplies were available at local stores.
Scott and Anna Price discuss Christmas tunes to go with their Christmas light display. Right now, the Price's garage is ground zero and littered with PVC and tomato cage tree forms covered with over 5000 LCD and bulb lights. Anna Holden has personally selected a playlist of her favorite Christmas tunes which her dad has synced to the light display.
While Jay demonstrated tree assembly and talked about sign placement Anna and her dad demonstrated the computer simulation for the light show and shared some of their playlist.
If all goes as expected, the Price family Christmas light show should be up and running this weekend for all to enjoy. So if you happen to be in Northeast Columbia near 3425 Willow Ridge Road, you owe it to yourself to stop by and see the show. If you miss it this year, they have bigger plans for next year so it only gets better. I'm told some of these shows have close to 70 thousand lights. So with Anna Holden and Jay in the driver's seat the sky is the limit. For a holiday drive by, visit 3425 Willow Ridge Road
