Carolina Wildlife Care announces 20th anniversary logo competition for kids Carolina Wildlife Care is having an art competition for kids to design a logo celebrating the wildlife center's 20th anniversary of saving wildlife. Children in grades K through eighth from Richland and Lexington counties are eligible to submit an original drawing they feel best expresses the wild and wonder of wildlife living in their own backyards or neighborhood. The winning design will appear in Carolina Wildlife Care's 20th Anniversary promotions, including press releases, T- shirt design, the wildlife center's website and newsletter. The winning designer will also receive a free offsite education program for his or her classroom or homeschool group. Logo designs are due by December 19, 2008. The winner will be selected before December 31 and notified by mail. Competition guidelines are as follows: •Use white, 8.5 x 11 inch paper for the design. •Use as many animals as desired, but they must be wildlife that might live around your own backyard or neighborhood. No domestic animals (cats, dogs, etc). •Draw the wildlife in a "natural" way. The animal can live around a house, but not in it! •The design can be in pencil, crayons, marker or paint, or can be done using a computer program. •Each child can submit up to two designs. •No fee to enter. All designs are property of Carolina Wildlife Care and cannot be returned.
