The Rebels used a strong running attack to overpower the Raider defense. Running backs Justin Lindler and Tyrone Wilson accounted for all of Mid- Carolina's points as the Rebels scored all the points they would need in the first half.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Rebels provided the offensive fireworks. They capped off a drive that had started deep in their own territory late in the first quarter with a 19- yard touchdown run by Lindler. The extra point gave Mid- Carolina a 7- 0 lead.
The Rebels forced Keenan to punt, giving them the ball at their own ten yard line. Aided by a 64- yard run by Clarence Turner, Mid- Carolina gave the ball to Wilson as he took it in from 20 yards out for another score. The extra point was missed, holding the score at 13- 0.
On the next possession, Clay Hughes intercepted a pass from Keenan's Antonio Perry, giving Mid- Carolina the ball deep in Keenan territory. Three plays later, the Rebels scored on a one- yard plunge by Wilson. The two point conversion was successful with a run by Turner to give the Rebels a 21- 0 lead at halftime.
After a scoreless third quarter, the only highlight of the fourth quarter belonged to the Raiders. A Mid- Carolina punt attempt turned into two free points for Keenan when Rebel's punter Alex Scott kicked the football out of the back of the end zone after the snap sailed over his head.
Despite getting the ball back after the safety, the Raiders again saw their drive end on a failed fourth down conversion. When the game appeared out of reach, the Rebels brought in their second string players as the starters celebrated a 21- 2 win to advance. While Keenan's season is finished, Mid- Carolina will travel to Abbeville for their next playoff game.
