Child welfare advocates gathered on the State House grounds for the S.C. Guardian ad Litem Program's Adoption and Foster Care Rally Saturday, November 8. The rally served as an opportunity to celebrate the 515 adoptions of children from foster care who were finalized in 2008; to remember the more than 5,000 children who are in foster care in the state; and to applaud the dedication of the more than 1,000 Guardians ad Litem volunteers across the state who advocate for the best interests of children in foster care.
