Colliers Keenan agent Pendleton Grove has brokered the sale of seven acres of land slated for redevelopment in the Forest Acres neighborhood. The parcel, located in the 4100 block of Forest Drive, will be the future home of Columbia's newest Gold's Gym, a full- service SCBT branch, and an additional retail building. The 50,000- square- foot, state- of- the- art Gold's Gym Forest Acres facility will be the area's fourth location and will be one of the largest athletic clubs statewide. Construction plans are underway with a projected opening in April 2009.

Grove has also brokered the sale of the Red Wing Rollerway on Decker Boulevard to KNC Trading, LLC. Formally owned by the estate of Cecil Barnes, the 29,000- square- foot landmark roller- skating rink will close and become home to a beauty supply wholesale and retail operation.
