St. David's Episcopal Church's annual fall bazaar will be 9 am- 2 pm November 15 at the church, 605 Polo Road northeast Columbia.

The event distinguishes itself from other bazaars by featuring crafts and foods — all handmade by church members and friends. It also will include a sale of used books, CDs and DVDs. Booths will be set up in the parish hall and in the classrooms underneath the sanctuary. Visitors are welcome to view the sanctuary and the church's famous 100- year- old pipe organ.

The church has been hosting a bazaar for about eight years. New this year is a Secret Santa Shop where young children may purchase gifts for $1 for their families. Most of the gifts, which will be wrapped for the children, are worth much more than their purchase price. Also new is a Coffee Shop where shoppers can take a break and enjoy flavored coffee and homemade desserts. A Soup Shop will be selling homemade bread and soups.

A drawing will be held for a queen- sized handmade quilt and quilt rack and a butterfly table, also crafted by church members. The theme this year is "All Hearts Come Home for Christmas."

Members of St. David's start work on this bazaar in early January with weekly crafts gatherings and in August with organizing the food and other features. About 100 people are involved.

Proceeds will go to outreach projects that are decided each year by the organizing committee. The bazaar raises more than $1,500 each year. St. David's supports such organizations as the food and clothing pantry God's Storehouse and His Hands Ministry.
