Margaret "DeDe" Goldson went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 5, 2008.

DeDe was born August 11, 1943, in Elkins, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Forest Harrison "Whitie" Kendall and Mary Margaret Lingamfelter Kendall. She spent her formative years in Greenville, S.C., and was a 1961 graduate of Greenville High School. Upon graduation from Erskine College, she began

her lifelong career in the printing industry as assistant to the publisher of Brides

Magazine in the New York offices of Condé Nast Publications. After several years with Condé Nast, DeDe returned to S.C. and worked with publications for SCETV and then the regional association of Public Broadcasting stations and the Southern Educational Communications Association.

In 1978, she formed her own company, DG&F, and it became a premier business supplying typography to major advertising agencies in the Southeast. She was one of the first female entrepreneurs in the USA and European countries invited to join the Advertising Typography Association of which she also became a board member. DeDe also was a member of the Southeastern Typography Association.

In May 2002 Septra True Colour was established which is a full service printing, mailing, fulfillment and marketing company. She served as partner and vice-president of Septra.

DeDe is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Clement F. Goldson of Columbia, South Carolina, to whom she has been married 29 years. She is also survived by her sister, Priscilla (James) Tillston, and brother, Johnny (Carol) Kendall, both of Greenville, brother- in- law, Charles H. (Cherry) Goldson of St. Petersburg, Florida, and sister- in- law, JoAnne (Ben) Gilham of Hilton Head Island and Columbia, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, November 7, 2008, from 10 am - 11:30 am at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel with Graveside services at 12 noon in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fellowship of Christian Athletes, 100 Executive Center Drive, Columbia, S.C. 29210 or East Lake Community Church, 10057 Broad River Road, Irmo, S.C. 29063.
