Margaret "DeDe" Goldson
      Margaret "DeDe" Goldson went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 5, 2008. DeDe was born August 11, 1943, in Elkins, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Forest Harrison "Whitie" Kendall and Mary Margaret Lingamfelter Kendall. She spent her formative years in Greenville, S.C., and was a 1961 graduate of Greenville High School.

      A memorial service for Sandra Thornton Watts, 72, was held Monday at 4 pm at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. The family received friends at the residence of Dr. and Mrs. Roger Sawyer following the service Mrs. Watts died Friday, October 31, 2008.

      Trinity Episcopal Cathedral's annual Autumn Bazaar has been known for many years for its high quality hand and homemade goods as well as attic treasures. Columbia attorney Reese Williams lucked into a super find at the bazaar last November: valuable first-edition books thrown into a Bag- For- A- Dollar sackful.

Super Seniors win state championship
      The Super Seniors, the U.S. Tennis Association league for 60 year olds, is the new 2008 State Champion. The team won the title last weekend at the State Tournament in Charleston, and will advance to the US Southern Region Playoffs in Mobile, Alabama in January.
