Columbia teenager makes it to Jeopardy Teen Tournament

The "Jeopardy!" Teen Tournament has proven to be one of the show's most perennial favorites among viewers. In one week, 15 of the nation's brightest students will face- off over ten intense nights toward the grand prize goal of $75,000. The tournament is scheduled to broadcast nationally on Monday, November 10, through Friday, November 21, 2008.

A teen from Columbia who was chosen to vie for the coveted "Jeopardy!" Teen Champion title is sixteen- year- old Casey Clough. In the Teen Tournament, players compete in a series of five shows the first week. The winners of those games and the four highest money- earners go on to the semi- finals, and the three winners of those shows proceed to a two- game finals match. The three finalists keep the money they accumulate in the last two games, with a minimum guarantee

of $25,000

for second place, and $15,000 for third place. The overall winner is guaranteed $75,000. Players reaching the semi- finals are guaranteed $10,000, while every player is guaranteed at least $5,000. For more information regarding the tournament, visit www.jeopardy. com.
