Ann Hall Ann Hall Ann Hall retired after 15 years in the Benefit Payment Control Section of the S.C. Employment Security Commission. For over 25 years, Hall has been a member of and treasurer for most of those years of the Afternoon Music Club, a local chapter of the National Federation of Music Clubs. Leaving work for a long lunch to attend concerts at a local church or the meetings and recitals of the Music Club is a normal activity for Hall several times a month. She has sung in the choir of her own churches and as a member of the Columbia Choral Society.

The National Federation of Music Clubs organized in the early 1900s primarily promotes music students. Each year the clubs have fundraisers for music scholarships, which range from $100 to $400 per person and are earned through audition only.

State President Pat Howle and Afternoon Music Club President Nola Covington gave Hall's co- workers information about her dedication to music. The co- workers collected $200 to be used for a Vocal Music Scholarship through the After Music Club in Hall's name. The gift was presented to Hall by her supervisor Geraldine Hillian.

Hall said she could not have been presented a better gift. Her co- workers sent her out with a song in her heart.
