In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, third grade students at Killian Elementary hosted their very first Hispanic Fiesta. Prior to the celebration, the students read the story Pepita Talks Twice . The students researched information about the cultures of Spanish speaking countries. During the Fiesta the students presented their information, participated in Latin dancing and sampled authentic Hispanic foods. Above, Kendra Wearing shows off Hispanic clothing.
