Dreher 7 Brookland- Cayce 24
      The Brookland- Cayce Bearcats scored 21 points off Dreher turnovers to defeat the visiting Blue Devils 24- 7 on October 17 at the Cage. The Bearcats earned their fourth win of the year with three different players scoring touchdowns in the pouring rain.

Cavs' quick- strike offense snares Foxes
Richland Northeast 30 Dutch Fork 6
      Not even a rainy evening or a soggy field could stop the Richland Northeast Cavaliers as they beat Dutch Fork 30- 6 Friday October 17 at Dutch Fork. The Cavalier offense was led by quarterback Kersean Wilson, who completed six of eight passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns.

Lions feast on Cards
Augusta Christian 27 Cardinal Newman 0
      William Banks ran for 172 yards and two touchdowns as the Augusta Christian Lions shut out the Cardinal Newman Cardinals 27- 0 on Friday, October 17. The game was played in a constant rain, which contributed to the seven combined turnovers and numerous other miscues. Augusta Christian's Corey Kuptiz took a Cardinal punt back 63 yards for the game's first score.

SCISA CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS
Hammond girls dethroned, St. Joseph's takes girls and boys titles
      St. Joseph's Catholic School came into the SCISA 3A cross country championships looking to unseat the defending champion Hammond Skyhawks in the girls' division. They left the meet as not only the girls' champion, but also the boys' champion, squeaking by Porter- Gaud in a very tight meet.

Bearcats and Eagles share another epic battle
VOLLEYBALL
      The Brookland- Cayce Bearcats completed a regular season sweep of the Airport Eagles by beating them in five games, 3- 2 (25- 16, 22- 25, 22- 25, 25- 20, and 17- 15) Thursday, October 16 at Brookland- Cayce. On a night in which the seniors were recognized, it was three underclassmen who pushed the Bearcats to victory; Alex White, Alley Greer, and Ebony McBride.
