Lovett to serve as Speaker Pro Tempore
Furman Lovett Furman Lovett began his service this month as Speaker Pro Tempore of the House of Representatives in the South Carolina Student Legislature. The Student Legislature is composed of delegates from every public and private college and university in South Carolina. The Student Legislature prepares model legislation for the State Legislature.
Lovett is a 21- year- old Dean's List senior at the University of South Carolina. He works on the trauma team at the Palmetto Health Richland Emergency Room and will receive his BS degree in May 2009. He will begin his post- graduate health care education in the Fall of 2009.
Lovett is the son of Don and Miriam Lovett of Irmo. His maternal grandparents are Furman and Louise Younginer of Irmo. Lovett's paternal grandparents are Herbert and the late Grace Lovett of Killian.
