A graveside service for Masae Uchida Carter was held September 29, 2008, at 10 am in Church of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Memorial Gardens. Dunbar Funeral assisted the family.

Mrs. Carter died Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Born in Yokohama, Japan, and raised inTokyo, she was a daughter of the late Sueaki and Ai Uchida. She retired from Hobart and Whirlpool Corporations and was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. She enjoyed sewing and needlework, piano, traveling, fishing, and cooking.

Surviving is her husband, Roger A. Carter of Ridgeway.
