Armstrong defeated Cardinal Newman's Evan Black 6- 0, 6- 2 and teamed up with Cather ine Roach to defeat Tori August and Evan Black in doubles 6- 1, 6- 0. Heathwood Hall visited Cardinal Newman in girls' tennis on Tuesday, October 7 and spoiled Senior Day by defeating the Lady Cardinals 7- 2.

The Lady Highlanders came to Trenholm Park looking to sweep the season series from the Lady Cardinals. Number one player Catherine Roach set the tone for Heathwood defeating Tori August in straight sets using powerful forehands and strong serves. August, one of three seniors honored before the match, was unsuccessful in mounting any sort of offense and lost 6- 2, 6- 0.

Neither of the other seniors, Evan Black and Lauren Nottoli, was able to win on their special day. Black fell to Lauren Armstrong at number two singles, 6- 0, 6- 2, and Nottoli lost to Katherine Lough at number five, 6-2, 6-1.
