Katherine Matthews was the hostess for the September meeting of the Petal Pushers Garden Club. Co- hostesses were Mary Mungo, Dorothy Strickland, and Joan Heard. The meeting was held in the Riverboat Room at Bridgepoint Condiminiums in West Columbia. Prior to the meeting, members were treated to a tour of the Matthews Penthouse. The view of Columbia from the balcony was breathtaking.

Jamie Hawkins, master gardener, presented a program on herbs. Shirley Smith, vice president, presided at the business meeting. Committee reports were given and two former members, Frank Sims and Nancy Reamer, were welcomed back.
