Dr. James Frederick Huiet III and Nancy Hansford Brown Dr. and Mrs. R. Edward Brown of Athens, Georgia, announce the engagement of their daughter Nancy Hansford Brown to Dr. James Frederick Huiet III.

The bride- elect is the granddaughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. Gaines Harrell Mason of Ruffin, South Carolina, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Reece Edward Brown of Charlotte, North Carolina. She graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, and Georgia State University where she earned an MS in professional counseling.

The bridegroom- elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Frederick Huiet Jr. of Columbia. His grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Mark Toney Boatwright of Columbia, and Mr. James Frederick Huiet and the late Mrs. Huiet of Trenton, South Carolina. He graduated from Wofford College and earned a doctor of medicine degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

The couple plans a January wedding in St. Philip's Church, Charleston, South Carolina.
