The Heathwood Hall Highlanders jumped out to a 14- 0 lead on the legs of Mac Whalen and Walker Sojurner and eventually beat the visiting Ben Lippen Falcons 24- 7 Friday, September 19.

Whalen raced 38 yards to open the scoring with 2:21 remaining in the first quarter. Sojurner scored on a six- yard run at the 9:01 mark of the second quarter.

The Falcons got on the board four minutes later. After a Highlander missed field goal attempt, running back Robert Keen took a handoff and raced 80 yards to make the score 14- 7.

The Highlanders put the game out of reach in the fourth quarter after Cole Fowble's field goal at the 5:05 mark made it 17- 7 and Morgan Whalen's two- yard touchdown run with less than three minutes remaining made it 24- 7.

The Highlanders racked up 403 yards of offense to Ben Lippen's 208. Mac Whalen accounted for 334 yards of Heathwood Hall's offense rushing for 157 yards and a touchdown. He completed 17- of- 29 passes for 177 yards.
