RCPL seeks youth art, writing
Twelve- year- old, Taylor Herman's, photo "Twos" was selected for the cover of the 2008 edition of Kids In Print . Submissions for the 2009 edition are due Friday, December 5. Richland County Public Library offers opportunity for young artists and writers to express their creativity.
The library is accepting entries for Kids in Print, a publication that features artwork, photos and writing by young people ages six to 18 each year.
"The library's goal with this project is to encourage young writers and artists by allowing them to see their work published," said Ginger Shuler, RCPL's Chief of Youth Services.
Entry forms are available at all RCPL locations and online at www.myRCPL.com/children.
Submissions are due by Friday, December 5, selections will be made in the spring, and the publication will be available in May.
