Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer, Judge Mildred McDuffie, and Christine E. Trigg. "We came today to compliment Lt. Gov. Bauer on his good work for the seniors of South Carolina, and we asked him to help us discourage unsavory people who prey on seniors." Several hundred senior citizens turned out for the Senior Empowerment Fair, "Your Health, Your Record Online, Anytime" held Wednesday, September 10 at Seawell's in Columbia. The Fair featured a program called My Personal Health Record, South Carolina, which provides computer access to medical records for Medicare recipients. Seth Edlavitch is director of this pilot project.
Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer, whose office oversees senior issues, co- sponsored the Fair with MPHRSC, and the Lt. Gov. met with residents for two hours during the morning, answering their questions and listening to their concerns.
South Carolinians with Medicare may create their free PHR at any time by going to MYPHRSC.com on the Web.
