Senior Empowerment Fair features My Personal Health Record, SC

      Several hundred senior citizens turned out for the Senior Empowerment Fair, "Your Health, Your Record Online, Anytime" held Wednesday, September 10 at Seawell's in Columbia. The Fair featured a program called My Personal Health Record, South Carolina, which provides computer access to medical records for Medicare recipients. Seth Edlavitch is director of this pilot project.

Greater Columbia Restaurant Association inducts three restaurateurs into Hall of Fame

      The Greater Columbia Restaurant Association held its Annual Benefit Dinner Monday, September 15, 2008, at Embassy Suites Hotel. As part of the program three restaurateurs were given Lifetime Achievement Awards by being inducted into the 2008 Columbia Restaurant Association Hall of Fame.

Tyler needs your help!
      Tyler is a sweet natured dog who was either shot in the face or hit by a car and then deserted in the woods. He wandered up to a home in Blythewood and was taken to Blythewood Animal Hospital where SQRescue has taken up his case. This three- year- old beagle mix has shown his loving nature in spite of severe injuries. He needs surgery to recover from his injury.
