Nominations for the 2009 Small Business Awards sought

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) South Carolina District Office is currently accepting nominations for the 2009 Small Business Awards. Awards include: Small Business Person of the Year, Small Business Exporter of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Jeffrey Butland Family- Owned Business of the Year, Financial Services Champion of the Year, Home- Based Business Champion of the Year, Minority Small Business Champion of the Year, Small Business Journalist of the Year, Veteran Small Business Champion of the Year, Women in Business Champion of the Year, and the Entrepreneurial Success Award.

The S.C. Small Business Person of the Year attends the national Small Business Week celebration in Washington, D.C., to compete for the title of National Small Business Person of the Year. Other Small Business Award winners go on to compete at the regional and then, if eligible, national level.

All nominations must be submitted to the SBA S.C. District Office at 1835 Assembly Street, Suite 1425, Columbia, SC 29201. The deadline for submission is November 14.
