NASA specialist to conduct workshop for educators at Richland One's Challenger Learning Center
E. Dynae Fullwood The latest developments in satellites, planetary probes and other hot aerospace topics will take center stage during a one- day workshop by NASA Aerospace Education Specialist E. Dynae Fullwood on Friday, September 12 at Richland One's Challenger Learning Center, 2600 Barhamville Road.
Educators from across the state will have the opportunity to learn about current and future NASA projects, technology and research. They will receive hands- on strategies and materials showing how they can use that information in the classroom to better teach basics such as math and science, and ultimately inspire the next generation of explorers.
The workshop for elementary teachers will be conducted from 9- 11 am. Middle and high school educators will have their session with Fullwood from 1- 3 pm.

Fullwood is a three- year veteran of NASA's Aerospace Education Services Project, a nationwide program which allows NASA to share emerging technologies, research and discoveries with educators. The Challenger Center is proud to host such a distinguished guest.
Richland One is home to South Carolina's only Challenger Learning Center, which includes an aerospace education laboratory, an e- planetarium, the Tuskegee Airmen exhibit, articles flown in space, exclusive space photos, autographed paraphernalia and a 20- foot art sculpture of the space shuttle. The Center also offers hands- on activities, starlab presentations, computer lab classes, and teacher training.
