Yvonne Fredrick with Tyler. Killian Elementary School is seeking volunteers for its REACH (Readers Enthusiastic About Climbing Higher) Program.

REACH is an academic mentoring program that pairs a young student who needs help in reading with a volunteer who wants to make a difference in a student's life.

Any person who wants to help a student improve his reading skills and increase academic performance is qualified to be a REACH mentor.

Volunteers attend an orientation session before they begin working with students. The program operates during the school day.
