The Columbia Sertoma Club raised more than $110,000 during its 2007- 2008 fiscal year. Sertoma used the money raised to assist more than 22 Columbia- based organizations.

Chris Burnette, president of Columbia Sertoma, is extremely grateful for the support from the community over the last year. "Without our many volunteers and the tremendous support we enjoy in and around Columbia, this simply wouldn't be possible. I extend a sincere thank you to everyone who contributed to this accomplishment."

The Columbia Sertoma Club has raised more than $4 million for local charities since it was started in 1950, including more than $3.3 million for the Carolina Children's Home.

The club meets every Monday at Seawells at 12:30 pm and encourages anyone interested to attend. Additional information about the organization can be found online at www.columbiasertoma.org.
