In the August 15th issue of The Columbia Star, there is an article on Mrs. South Carolina, Dr. Garianne Gunter. The article mentions that Dr. Gunter received her MD from the Medical University of South Carolina. In fact, Dr. Gunter received her MD from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.
