      Roll call Columbia City Council met in the Eau Claire Print Building on Wednesday, August 20, at 9 am. All members of city council were present: Kirkman Finlay, Tameika Isaac Devine, E.W. Cromartie, Mayor Bob Coble, Sam Davis, Daniel Rickenmann, and Belinda Gergel.

      Roll call The West Columbia Planning Commission met on Monday, August 27, 2008 at 6 pm. All members were present: Chairman William C. Etheredge, Vice Chairman W.J. "Buck" Buchanan, Preston Cantrell, Elizabeth "Liz" Deas, Julie Huffman, Harold Prater, and Billy Lynn Williams. The minutes from the previous meeting were approved with no additions or corrections.
