Miss Barr and Mr. Haltiwanger marry in North Myrtle Beach
Mrs. James Nance Haltiwanger Jr. Christine Jane Barr of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and James Nance Haltiwanger Jr. of Anderson, South Carolina, were married Saturday, August 2, 2008, at Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church in North Myrtle Beach. Pastor Thomas Clymer officiated the 6 pm ceremony.
The bride, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Peter Bruce Barr of Glenville, West Virginia, and the late Carol Topping Barr of North Myrtle Beach, is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald C. Malcolm, Mr. Robert F. Topping, and the late Mr. and Mrs. George S. Barr, all of Huntington, West Virginia. She holds a master's degree in public health from the University of South Carolina and an undergraduate degree in biological sciences from Clemson University. She is the health and wellness coordinator for Rosenfeld Einstein in Greenville, South Carolina.
The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Nance Haltiwanger of Columbia, is the grandson of Mrs. Helen W. Haltiwanger of Columbia, the late Mr. and Mrs. Eugene L. McDuffie, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. Haltiwanger of Columbia. He is currently pursing a degree in marketing from Clemson University. He founded Outdoor Interactive, Inc. where he serves as president/CEO.
The matron of honor was Mrs. Carrie Barr Mott, sister of the bride. Atten- dants were Mrs. Kimberley Smithson Ady, Ashley Marie Alden, Mrs. Kelly Ann Barr, Jessica Davina Falk, Katherine Simmons Haltiwanger, Sital Dilup Jethwa, and Mrs. Kristin Dunlap Paschall.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. The groomsmen were Jason Peter Barr, Karl Brennecke Buchholz, Thomas L. Dillard II, Charles White Millender III, J'aime Moore, Orville Stanley Smith IV, and Joshua Matthew Vassallo.
The readers were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sabalis, godparents of the bridegroom. The program attendants were Kristina Barr of Huntington, Catherine Meekins, and Mrs. Erin Vassallo, both of Columbia.
A reception followed at the Surf Golf and Beach Club.
After honeymooning in the Western Caribbean the couple will reside in Anderson, South Carolina.
