Harvest Hope Food Bank needs the support of the community

A USDA study ranks S.C. second in the nation for food insecurity in other words not knowing there will be enough food to meet nutritional needs. The Harvest Hope Food Bank staff members are working to help meet the needs of many people who deal with food insecurity every day.

They do this by supporting local soup kitchens, food pantries, emergency shelters, after- school programs, and other non- profits offering much needed food directly to those in need. Harvest Hope Food Bank works with 400 of these community partners throughout the 20 county areas. They currently operate 14 Kids Café programs which provide thousands of evening meals to hungry children — many even send backpacks full of food home with children so they will not be hungry over the weekend. In rural areas without adequate local food pantries, they load up trucks with mobile food pantries to directly deliver food to those who need it.

Harvest Hope Food Bank could not do all of this without the support of the community. During this time of economic insecurity, the need is even greater. Please send your contributions to
