Sandhills School announces ninth grade class
Sandhills School has added the ninth grade class for the 2008- 09 school year. This will allow students to continue to benefit from Orton- Gillingham approach to teaching reading, writing, and spelling. Sandhills School is one of ten schools in the nation, and the only school in the Midlands, to be accredited by the Academy of Orton- Gillingham Practitioners and Educators.
Sandhills School will be adding a grade each year to create a high school program that will be fully accredited. The high school curriculum will be a college preparatory environment and focus on the strengths of each student.
Sandhills School is known for the individual attention given to students, both inside and out of the classroom. Sandhills students benefit from a multi- sensory education, enriched curriculum, individualized instruction, and small class sizes.
