Miss Wrenn and Mr. Pridmore exchange vows July 26, 2008
Mrs. Michael Jared Pridmore Helen Elizabeth Wrenn and Michael Jared Pridmore of Charlotte, North Carolina, were married July 26, 2008, at St. Martin's- in- the- Fields Episcopal Church. The Rev. Canon J. Philip Purser performed the 7:30 pm double ring ceremony. Music was provided by English Glover Morris Jr., organist; Brenda Leonard, cellist; Andrew Mark Loeffler, trumpeter; and Essena Setaro, violinist.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Michael Wrenn Sr. of Chapin, South Carolina. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hiram Abrams and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Samuel Wrenn all of Columbia, South Carolina. The bride received a B.S. in physics from Presbyterian College and a B.S. in civil engineering from Clemson University. She is a structural engineer with the Nuclear Division of the Shaw Group in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Leon Pridmore of Gaffney, South Carolina. He is the grandson of Mrs. James Welton Dill and the late Mr. James Welton Dill and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Pridmore all of Gaffney, South Carolina. The bridegroom received a B.S. in civil engineering and an M.S. in civil engineering from Clemson University. He is an engineer in Transmission Line Engineering at Duke Energy in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an elegant jewel neckline gown of alençon lace accented with long sleeves and a cathedral length train. She carried a bouquet of white freesia, green hydrangea, white bouvardia, and cream stock hand tied with cream French ribbon and wrapped with alençon lace and pearl pins.
The maid of honor was Jessica Clare Bower. The bridesmaids were Courtney Danielle Bell, Katherine Cooke Bryant, Laura Elizabeth Carmody, Cara Laurel Goodman, Laura Elizabeth Hicklin, Mrs. Blair Seymour McLeod, and Christie Louise Sturzenbecker.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. The groomsmen were Brandon James Gardner; Nicholas Clayton Hughey; Daniel Lane Phillips; William David Price; Jeffrey Todd Roberson; Kenneth Wade Summerlin; and John Michael Wrenn Jr., brother of the bride.
During the ceremony, Christopher Reeves Rutledge presented the First Lesson. Dillan Francesca Bono presented the Second Lesson, and Ashley Maria Bono presented a reading from the book of Psalms. The ushers were Thomas Floyd Abrams, Frank Scott Bono, and William Bruce Wrenn. Samuel Allen Wrenn carried the cross. Sarah Kay Wrenn, the flower girl, carried the family Bible. Greeters were Elizabeth Susan Corley, Courtney Elizabeth Lankford and Mrs. Chris Nathan Martin.
A reception followed at Forest Lake Club.
After a wedding trip to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the couple will reside in Charlotte, North Carolina.
