Miss Turnbulll and Mr. Humphries marry Auugust 2, 2008

The Rev. Dr. Ronald Taylor officiated at the 6 pm ceremony. Wedding music was provided by organist Celia Tolar- Bane and bagpiper Billy DuBose

The bride, daughter of Mrs. William Julian Rock and Mr. John Robert Turnbull Jr. of Columbia, is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Elliott Crum and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Robert Turnbull of Columbia. The bride is a nationally certified counselor and graduate of Auburn University with a B.A. in psychology and an M.Ed. in counseling. She is currently working on her Ph.D. in rehabilitation counseling.

The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wayne Humphries of Rainbow City, Alabama, is the grandson of Mr. Louie Chester Humphries and the late Mrs. Emily Jo Humphries and Mrs. Ruth Hare Farmer and the late Mr. Webster Moody Hare. The bridegroom is a professional engineer licensed in the state of Alabama and a graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor of electrical engineering. He is currently employed as an engineer supervisor with Alabama Power.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents. The bride wore her aunt and godmother, Wallis Bond's mantilla veil of silk illusion, featuring a wide border of reembroidered alençon lace that flowed into a cathedral train. The veil was worn in honor of the late Mrs. Mary Lou Crum, grandmother of the bride, who handmade the veil.

The matron of honor was Neally Lewis of Auburn Alabama, sister of the bride. The person of honor was Libba Turnbull of Durham, North Carolina, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Sara Jenkins, Cory Ritchie, Randy Farley, Kate Gellatly, Patrice Neely, Brittiny Bookout, Laura Deskin, Jennifer Hill, Tricia Hoskin, Ruthanna Payne, Lauren Rowlett, and Mary Katherine Skipworth. The flower girls were Olivia Davis, cousin of the bride, and Emmie Gellatly, goddaughter of the bride. The greeters were Natalie Loucks and Michelle Thomason.

The father of the groom served as best man. Groomsmen were Christopher Humphries, brother of the bridegroom; Darren Gilbreath, cousin of the bidegroom; Parker Lewis, brother- in- law of the bridegroom; Lance Roberson and Jason Thomason; Jeffrey Hill; and Raymond Morton. The ring bearers were Charlie Bond, cousin and godson of the bride; Parker Humphries, nephew of the bridegroom; and Will Lewis nephew of the bride. The readers were Wallis Bond, aunt and godmother of the bride, and Cindy Rich, cousin of the bridegroom.

A reception followed at Forest Lake Club.

After a wedding cruise to the Virgin Islands, the couple will reside in Auburn, Alabama.
