A photograph by Bridget Clarke from Pupcakes Pet Boutique Pooch Pin Up Calendar which goes on sale August 16. Pupcakes Pet Boutique has partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society: South Carolina Chapter, Team In Training® and Bridget Clarke Photography for a unique fundraising event of canine couture that will take place from 9 am- 6 pm on August 16, 2008, in- store.

To help the LLS South Carolina Chapter Team In Training® raise funds and succeed in its mission "to cure blood cancers and improve the quality of life of patients and their families," Pupcakes will host this fundraising photo-shoot and event at the Devine Street pet boutique.

Pupcakes is offering customers and local dog- lovers a very special treat to encourage support for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. All pooches are invited to take part in an exclusive professional photo shoot with Bridget Clarke Photography while their owners support this worthy cause. Bridget Clarke will be at the store all day long to photograph participating canine "models."

All dogs (and owners) that participate in the photoshoot will receive a complimentary, 5x7, professional portrait for their portfolios.

Pet owners are asked to pre- register aspiring Pooch Pin- Ups for placement in this photo- shoot. With 32 spots available, spaces are expected to fill up fast. Registration requires a $25 donation to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Dogs are also welcome to walk- in on the day of the event to be photographed, but times cannot be guaranteed without prior registration. Everyone is welcome to drop by to watch the photo- shoot and join in. The event is free to the public and will be a festive day of fun!

All dogs that participate in the August 16 photo shoot could also be featured as "Pooch Pin- Up of the Month" in Pupcakes' 2010 fundraising Calendar. Marie Lipton, owner of Pupcakes Pet Boutique will choose 12 pooch portraits from those taken on the day to be featured in next year's calendar. The 12 chosen pet portraits will be on display at the boutique after September 2, 2008.

This year's fundraising calendar, "Pupcakes Pet Boutique Pooch Pin- up Calendar to benefit the Leu-kemia & Lymphoma Society," will launch and go on sale beginning August 16. The calendar features LLS South Carolina Chapter Team In Training® member Dana Burgess' three miniature schnauzers photographed by Bridget Clarke and dressed in Pupcakes Canine Couture. The 12- month fundraising calendar can be purchased at Pupcakes for $25 that will be donated in full to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
