Richland One will ring in the 2008- 2009 school year with a new bell schedule that will provide additional instructional time for elementary students.

Under the new bell schedule, the elementary school day will be expanded by 20 minutes, which will give elementary, middle, and high- school students seven hours of instructional time.

School start and dismissal times for middle schools will be the same as they were during the 2007- 08 school year. High schools will begin and end the day 15 minutes later than last year.

Morning bus pick- up times will not change because of the new bell schedule, but some pick- up times will be affected by routine bus routing changes.
