Luke Beasley went 3- for- 5 from the plate hitting two doubles, knocking in two runners, and scoring three runs himself to lead visiting West Columbia over Columbia Northeast 11- 6 at Spring Valley High School Friday, June 27.

Beasley got help from Lucas Knight who got a two- run double in the first inning followed by run scoring single in the second. Leadoff man Zack Sharpe contributed with three runs and two RBI while Ryan Burt went 2- for- 3 with an RBI. Nick McKlosky also had a hit, two runs, and an RBI.

Columbia Northeast scored four runs in the second inning and another two in the third to take a 6- 5 lead, but went a combined 3- for- 19 over the course of the final six innings. Rick Davis went 4- for- 4 and Jocquese Brunson was 2- for- 4 from the plate, but the rest of the team was a combined 3- for- 26.

Down 6- 5 in the top half of the sixth inning, McKlosky led off with a walk and Cory Matheson followed with a double to right field. Sharpe then knocked a single to center field which scored McKlosky and Matheson. Next, Jacob Coleman hit into double play that scored Sharpe from third base. Burt completed the scoring with a single to left field that scored Beasley giving West Columbia a 9- 6 advantage.
