Richland bats and lightning finish West Columbia

      Richland Post 6 used strong pitching, a home run from Kyle Williamson, and several excellent defensive plays to defeat West Columbia Post 79 on Friday June 20. The game was called due to torrential rain and lightening mid-way through the fifth inning with the Pathfinders leading the Lakers 8- 3.

      Richland Post 6 used a first inning barrage and a late game double from Kyle Williamson to defeat Columbia Northeast 11- 7 Post 182 on June 24 at Memorial Stadium. Williamson's two- run double in the bottom of the seventh broke a 7- 7 tie and propelled the Pathfinders to their ninth win of the season.

Shock win District 3 North
YOUTH BASEBALL
      The Trenholm Shock won the 2008 Little League Coach Pitch South Carolina District 3 North Championship on Sunday with a 14- 4 victory over a team from Tega Cay Fort Mill. The Tournament was played at Friarsgate Park in Irmo.The Shock are the Coach Pitch Allstars from Trenholm Little League. Coaches are Larry Webster, Michael Fields, Wayne Marter and Jay Taylor.
