Lila Roper Bagwell and Ryan Gregory Leonard of New York were married at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Newberry, SC, at 7 pm, Saturday, June 7, 2008.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Livingston Bagwell of Newberry. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and is employed in public relations for Cerami and Associates in New York.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Bruce Leonard of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of West Point and is a medical consultant for Kyphon/Medtronic in New York.

The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Dr. Mark Andrew Scott. Greeting guests at the church were Jacki Erin Bagwell and Kristi Ann Bagwell, sisters- - in- law of the bride. The crucifer was Sally McKellar Wiseman. Christopher Thomas Houston and Matthew Ronald Junko were the lectors.

Huger Parler Caughman Jr., organist, presented a program of classical selections preceding the ceremony accompanied by Carol Williams Roosevelt, violin, and Kristin Anne Caughman, trumpet. Cathy Strange Cain and Margaret

The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. She wore a champagne, silk satin A- line Reem Acra gown with a sweetheart neckline and crystal beaded and embroidered bodice with a tiered bustle chapel train. She wore a cathedral length veil. Her bouquet was hand- tied cream and pink peonies with mini calla lilies and French ribbon.

The matron of honor was Elizabeth Bagwell Allen, sister of the bride. The maid of honor was Lauren Jane Satcher, cousin of the bride. The bridesmaids were Jennifer Soltis Bryant of Charlotte, North Carolina; Sandra Barber Doherty of Charlotte; Brooke Elaine Fleming of Atlanta, Georgia; Amy Jayne Gayman of Charlotte; Jana Moose Ritter of Okemas, Michigan; and Sarah Davis Shay of Wilmington, North Carolina. The bridesmaids wore French almond satin- faced taffeta strapless A- line floor length gowns with a cuffed neckline, dropped waist, and a sweep train with bow accent. They carried hand tied bouquets of cream peonies, green hydrangea, light pink roses, and green cymbidian orchids with French ribbon.

Aaron Christopher Leonard, brother of the bridegroom, was the best man. The groomsmen were Shawn Emry Allen, brother- in- law of the bride; Mark Edward Arden of Arlington, Virginia; Philip Cason Conn of Cleveland, Tennessee; Mark Charles Delorenzo of Hawthorne, New Jersey; Gary Patrick Edwards of Alexandria, Virginia; Christopher Patrick Haddock of Atlanta; and Brian Thomas Sullivan, of North Reading, Massachusetts. The ushers were Mitchell Todd Bagwell and Geoffrey Livingston Bagwell, brothers of the bride; William Brunson Satcher, cousin of the bride; and Thomas John Backenson of Atlanta.

Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Country Club of Newberry. Greeting guests were Anne Bagby Orange and Elizabeth Walker Orange of Chapin.

Following a wedding trip to Belize, the couple will live in New York.
