Garden Council honors Bay Blossom Garden Club
      During the recent Annual Awards Luncheon, the Garden Council of Greater Columbia awarded members of the Bay Blossom Garden Club with Most Valuable Garden Club, First Place in the Bird Award in Environmental Control Awards, Garden Therapy Award, Best Program Award, Second Place for Increase in Membership, and Honorable Mention for Civic Beautification Award and Year Book.

SC Legislative Women's Caucus holds final meeting for 2008
      The SC Legislative Women's Caucus recently held their final meeting of the 2008 Session and elected new officers for the coming year. Representative Joan Brady(R) Richland, has been elected incoming chairwoman of the Caucus. The other new officers are Rep. Vida Miller (D) Georgetown, Rep. Shannon Erickson (R) Beaufort, and Rep. Laurie Funderburk (D) Kershaw.

      Historic Columbia Foundation will offer its monthly Moonlight Cemetery Tours on Wednesday, June 18 at 8 pm and 8:30 pm at Elmwood Cemetery. Tours are scheduled during the full moon each month through October.
