Falcons repeat as champions

Flora Falcon golf team won its second consecutive class 3A state championship on May 13, 2008 with a score of 602, eight strokes better than second place Hilton Head.The tournament was held at Quail Creek Golf Course in Myrtle Beach.Thomas Bradshaw led the Falcons with a two- day score of 143 which earned him the individual state championship by one stroke. J.B. Murphy finished tied for seventh at 152.Will Murphy and Alan King each finished 16th at 156. Brewer Bradshaw was one stroke behind at 157. Pictured above (l- r) are Staton Pruitt, J.B. Other local teams of interest were Blythewood which came in third place with a score of 611, Chapin in eighth place with a 638, Dreher at 12th with ascore of 655, Brookland- Cayce at 13th with a 657, and Airport in 14th place with a total score of 659.
