Hostesses for the April 10,2008, Ariail Chapter of the Columbia College Alumnae Club meeting are Jewell P. Hill,Class of '60; Edith Edens Baker, '52; Adelyn Grant Price, '53; Sara Cook Andrews, '51; and not pictured Meg Williamson Waugh, '54. The Ariail Chapter of the Columbia College Alumnae Association held its fourth regular meeting of the year at the home of Jewell Powell Hill, '60, April 9, 2008. Other hostesses for this traditional covered dish luncheon included Edith Edens Baker, '52; Adelyn Grant Price, '53; Sara Cook Andrews, '51; and Meg Williamson Waugh, '54. There were 32 members present. A special guest was Dr. Caroline Whitson, president of Columbia College.

Joyce Hart Mann, '56, Ariail Chapter president, presided over the brief business meeting. Norma Richardson Johnson, '58, treasurer, presented a financial report and made a motion to contribute a substantial amount of the club's fund to Columbia College. Margie Faucett Patterson, '49, seconded the motion, and the chapter members approved the motion unanimously.

Guests enjoyed the lovely luncheon and delightful fellowship in Mrs. Hill's beautifully decorated home and garden.

The next meeting will be September 11, 2008.
