Compassionate Care Foundation, a local organization which exists to fund alternative medical treatments for those who cannot afford them has built a partnership with FOAtography, Inc., a unique and specialized art business, focusing on the inherent beauty found in non- traditional locations and objects.

The artists associated with FOAtography have a special perspective, allowing them to locate and interpret elements of beauty in the world found around them, thus presenting these gems to the rest of the world through found object art. A portion of the proceeds of these sales will be contributed to the efforts of the Compassionate Care Foundation and will benefit those who cannot afford alternative medical treatment.

Jeanette Spence is the founder of Compassionate Care. She says, "I have been caring for people all of my life. I have been in nursing for over 30 years. For me

healing means coming to an understanding and a place of acceptance about ones illness, so one can move forward with one's life."

In 2006, the issue of personal illness touched her own life when she experienced a serious injury. She benefited considerably from alternative medicine, particularly through art therapy. Her experiences have given her a passion for raising support for Compassionate Care.

Together, Compassionate Care and FOAtography, Inc. will continue to build valuable partnerships with health care providers, other community organizations, volunteers, and a variety of funders to provide alternative therapy and treatment options to patients who may not otherwise have the resources.
