Hand Middle School eighth-grader Sarah Rhu won the 2008 Millennium Magazine Youth Journalism Award for her exceptional essay on the life of South Carolina Reconstruction-era Congressman Robert Smalls and her accomplishments on the Hand Mock Trial team. Sarah was presented the award at a banquet held at the AT&T building on March 27.
