An upcoming event offers those looking for employment a chance to meet with representatives of dozens of businesses that are hiring.

Richland One Adult Education will hold its 2008 Career/Community Job Fair from 11 am to 3 pm Thursday, April 10 at the Adult Ed building, located at 2612 Covenant Road. Richland One students, graduates and community members are invited to attend.

Businesses, agencies and organizations that will be represented at the fair will include: Snelling Staffing Services of the Midlands, S.C. Department of Corrections, Providence Hospital, Blue- Cross/BlueShield, Palmetto Health, Total Comfort, Kenneth Shuler Schools of Cosmetology, Columbia Police Department, Richland County Sheriff 's Department, ITT Technical Institute, McDaniels Acura, Hilton, Hampton Inn, First Citizens Bank, Waffle House, Sonic, AllSouth Credit, Benedict College, South University, Columbia College, Army, Air Force, Columbia Fire Department, Allen University, and USC Trio Programs.
