      ANIMALS The Humane Society will host "The Mane Event" April 25, 7 pm- 11 pm at The Millstone at Adams Pond. The Mane Event will feature live bluegrass entertainment, food, and a silent auction to raise funds for the recently seized Arabian horses.

      Stock up on a variety of books, CDs, DVDs and more at the Friends of the Richland County Public Library's Spring Book Sale, and support the library! The Friends' Spring Book Sale will be held from 9 am- 3 pm Saturday, April 12 at the RCPL Operations Center, 130 Lancewood Rd. A preview sale for Friends' members only will take place from 6:30 pm- 8:30 pm Friday, April 11.

      The Historic Columbia Foundation Museum Shop will host author Dr. Warner M. Montgomery and ceramic artists Paul Moore and Kevin Smith on Thursday, April 3, from 5 pm to 7 pm. The open house wine and cheese will feature its new spring collection for weddings, birthdays, graduations, and Mother's Day.
