Members of Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic and the Rotary Club of the Vista Night celebrated with students at Forest Heights Elementary School. Paulami Gupta's special education class was the recipient of three RFB&D playback reading devices for their classroom, kindly donated by the Rotary Club of the Vista Night.

RFB&D's South Carolina State Director, Libby Anne Inabinet, captivated the students' attention by speaking of the importance of reading.

Inabinet said, "The Rotary Club of the Vista Night has given hope to the learners of Forest Heights. We know these students have incredible untapped potential, and the Rotary has put the tools in their hands that science has proven supports their learning style. Their support will allow books to open for the students of Forest Heights that otherwise may have remained closed.

President of the Rotary Club of the Vista Night, Johnston Cox, presented the three playback devices to the students: "The Rotary Club of the Vista Night is thankful that RFB&D brought the needs of the children at Forest Heights Elementary to our attention, and that we were able to provide the reading equipment as part of Rotary International's continuing efforts to promote literacy in our community and the world.

Principal Dr. Frank Robinson and Assistant Principal Betty Melvin joined the group in the Forest Heights Elementary Media Center to celebrate.

RFB&D's playback devices allow students to listen to their textbooks in a digital format while simultaneously following along on the written page, learning through listening®. RFB&D is a nonprofit volunteer organization that provides textbooks in digital audio format for students with visual impairments, physical disabilities and for those with learning differences, such as dyslexia.
