      Easy access to local government spending became available in S.C. in early March 2008 at www.ssl.sc.gov/Spending- Transparency. Gov. Mark Sanford put forth an executive order in August 2007 to have all government agency spending records of expenses over $100, and dating back to fiscal year 2006- 2007, published online.

Indian Waters Council honors its most outstanding Boy Scouts
     Photo contributed by Jessica Lee Dunning The 2007 Eagle Scouts Class of the Indian Waters Council Boy Scouts of America was honored March 13, 2008, at Embassy Suites. In the suit is Rushmore (Rush) Houghton who has over 85 years invested in scouting including Eagle Scout, Scoutmaster, and serving at- risk youth.He joined the Boy Scouts on his 12th birthday in 1922 in Mamaroneck, N.Y.He currently resides in the Lowman Home Village and is an active member of the community.
