Grant named ACC Legend

Mary Anne (Cubelic) Grant, assistant executive director of the Richland County Recreation Commission and Clemson University Women's Basketball stand- out, has been named as an Atlantic Coast Conference Women's basketball tournament Legend. She and the other "Legends" will be recognized during the ACC Women's Basketball Tournament in Greensboro, NC, at halftime of the first semifinal game at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 8.

Grant graduated from Spring Valley High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management (1983) and Masters of Education in Personnel Services from Clemson University (1984). While she attended Clemson, she played on the first Clemson women's basketball team to participate in an NCAA women's basketball tournament. She was inducted into the Clemson Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002 for her outstanding athletic achievements and she still holds several athletic records.
